Here are a few tips & tricks to make your Brief application stand out!
1. Draft a Personal Application Message
Do not copy & paste your application message for every brief on Cohley. We understand it can take some time to craft a unique message for every brand, but your message is more likely to be read if the brand can tell it was written for them specifically.
Here's an example of a Great application message from a Creator that was accepted to the brief they applied to:
The product in the brief was Magnesium and this creator showed that the product would fit seamlessly into his content. He also mentioned that he's an athlete, which to a supplement brand makes him stand out.
Vs a message a brand will scroll past! It's clear that this was written by AI, and it's too long for the brand to read. Each brief receives 100s of applications and your message is an easy way to stand out.
"A little effort goes a long way in the message but if it's too long I also tend to skim it because we just don't have time when going through 150-200 other applicants." -Cohley Brand
2. Upload the Correct Sample Content
Make sure the sample content you upload in your application matches what the Brand is asking for in their Brief. If the Brief is for a testimonial video for a supplement brand, make sure you share testimonial content in a similar space. If the Brief requires you to record a voiceover or speak directly to the camera, make sure you include that type of content either in the sample content or your portfolio!
3. Spend time on your Portfolio
Every Brand reviews your Creator Portfolio after reviewing your message. You can upload up to 9 assets, so fill it up with examples! Brands want to see a mix of voiceover content, lifestyle content, Tiktok Trends, and speaking directly to the camera. If the requirement is photos vs videos, include photo examples in there too. The more diverse examples you have to share, the better.
