If this is your first time creating content for brands, a brief is essentially a project that has a set of deliverables, deadlines, and compensation.
There are a few different brief types on Cohley and here's a breakdown of each of them:
VISUAL ASSETS- UGC ($): These briefs are designed to help you create User Generated Content such as photos and videos that brands can feature across their digital platforms. A social media following is not required to apply.
PRODUCT REVIEWS: These briefs give you the opportunity to try products and share an honest review. The focus is on authenticity, as your insights help guide consumers in making informed purchasing decisions.
INFLUENCER ($): These briefs include a social component, often requiring a post on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, or other social channels.
VISUAL ASSETS- PROFESSIONAL ($): These briefs are tailored for professional photographers and videographers with extensive experience in shot lists and post production. Applicants should have access to professional equipment to be considered.
If you don't have a ton of experience creating UGC, we recommend applying to a product review brief. If you're accepted, the brand will send you their product in exchange for an honest text review. Please note, there is no compensation for these briefs in order to stay compliant with FTC regulations.
At the top of the brief portal, you can click between new, applied, active, and completed. New briefs are briefs you haven't applied to and active are the ones that you have been accepted to. To make sure the process of finding a brief for you is simple, Make sure to check out the filters in the new briefs tab.
If a brief does not meet your criteria or expectations, just click not interested and check the portal weekly!
