Every brief lists its deliverables clearly in the brief overview, organized by concept (if the brief has multiple). For each deliverable, you’ll see:
- Type — e.g., 1 final-edit video, 3 still photos, 1 Instagram post, 1 TikTok post
- Format — vertical or horizontal, duration, aspect ratio
- Content guidelines — what to include or avoid (caption requirements, hashtags, music usage, FTC disclosures, etc.)
- Posting requirements — where to post and any required tags or codes (e.g., spark code or ad code for boosted content, paid partnership tag)
After you’ve been accepted to the brief, your deliverables show up in your My Content tab, where you’ll upload and track each one as you complete it. You’ll also see exactly how many assets are required per concept so you can plan your shoot.
Two things to do before you start filming:
- Review the sample content. Most briefs include sample content the brand has provided — it’s the single best way to understand what they like and why. Use it to inform your tone, pacing, framing, and visual style.
- Review the non-negotiables. These are the brand’s must-haves for the brief — typically covering your space (where you film), your outfit, and your script. Make sure each of these matches what the brief requires before you set up to shoot. Non-negotiables are where most rework requests come from, so getting them right upfront saves you time.
If anything in the deliverable list is unclear, ask the brand in the brief chat before you start filming — it’s much easier to clarify upfront than to redo a deliverable that didn’t match expectations.
