Your portfolio is your collection of self-uploaded work that you use to apply to briefs and showcase your style to brands. Together with your Cohley Work (paid work you’ve completed through Cohley), it’s the main way brands evaluate whether you’re a fit for their campaign.

What goes in your portfolio

  • Up to 9 assets per portfolio
  • A mix of photos and videos
  • Both landscape and portrait orientations are supported
  • Assets must be uploaded from your device — links to external sites won’t work
  • No file size, duration, or format restrictions beyond that

Brands see your portfolio when reviewing your application, and a portfolio asset is shown on your Creator Card as part of your Highlights preview (see Brands see my “highlights” — what is that?).

When you need a portfolio

You need at least 1 portfolio asset to apply to any brief on Cohley — UGC, Professional, or Influencer Partnership. For Influencer Partnership briefs, you’ll also need the right social platform connected (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Amazon).

If you try to apply without a portfolio asset, you’ll see a prompt to upload one first.

Adding to your portfolio

You’ll see a step to upload your portfolio when you first onboard to Cohley. You can:

  • Upload as many assets as you have (up to 9)
  • Skip with “Maybe later” and come back to it
  • Earn a profile badge once you’ve uploaded 9 assets

After onboarding, you can add or delete assets anytime from My Profile → Portfolio.

Portfolio vs. Cohley Work

These are two distinct showcases on your profile:

  • Portfolio — work you upload yourself. Use this to show your style, range, and personal best work.
  • Cohley Work — content you’ve delivered for completed paid briefs through Cohley. This builds up automatically as you finish briefs (you don’t need to add it manually), and it’s strong social proof for brands that you’ve successfully collaborated before.

Both feed into your Public Profile and Highlights, so the more you have in each, the better positioned you are.

Tips for a strong portfolio

  • Add a mix of styles and verticals — Cohley picks the best portfolio match for each brief you apply to, so variety helps you land in front of more brands (see How are my recommended briefs determined?)
  • Upload high-resolution, well-lit, well-edited content
  • Refresh regularly so your portfolio reflects your current style
  • Aim for 9 — that’s the cap, and a full portfolio signals seriousness
