After you’ve filmed and edited your content, you’ll upload it to Cohley so the brand can review it. Here’s the full flow.

Before you upload

A quick pre-flight check saves rework later:

  • Re-read the non-negotiables and sample content — these are where most change requests come from. See How do I know what to deliver per brief?
  • Confirm your concept assignment — you’ll upload your content to the specific concept(s) you were assigned. See What are concepts?
  • Note your deadline — content is due by the date shown directly on the brief

How to upload

When you open your brief and go to My Content, you’ll see upload buttons laid out for every deliverable in the brief. The buttons are pre-organized so the right tag is applied automatically based on which one you click — you don’t need to tag anything separately.

The structure varies by brief type:

  • Influencer briefs on Instagram or Facebook — buttons are organized by concept × asset type (Reel, Story, Post) × version (Raw or Final Edit). For example, you might see “Concept 1 → Reel 1 → Upload Raw” and “Concept 1 → Reel 1 → Upload Final Edit” as two separate buttons.
  • Influencer briefs on TikTok or YouTube — same structure, but the asset type is simply Post (no Story/Reel distinction).
  • UGC and Professional briefs — buttons are organized by concept × asset type (Photo or Video) × version where applicable.

To upload:

  1. Open the brief from your Active briefs tab and click My Content
  2. Find the section for the concept you’re uploading to
  3. Click the upload button that matches what you’re submitting (right asset type and version)
  4. Select one or multiple files from your device — you can upload several at once

Works on both mobile and desktop. Each upload action sends one automated chat message to the brand letting them know new content is ready to review, so try to upload all the files for one button together rather than one at a time to keep the chat clean.

What happens next

The brand reviews your content and either approves it or sends a change request:

About AI Asset Analysis

When you upload, Cohley runs an AI check against the brief’s non-negotiables — the brand’s must-haves around space, outfit, script, and any other specific requirements they’ve called out. The brief shows a reminder: “We’ll automatically check your assets against the brand’s key requirements. Double check the non-negotiables before uploading to avoid issues.”

If your asset is flagged for missing a non-negotiable: don’t start editing yet. Wait to hear from the brand first. They may have additional change requests beyond what the AI caught, and you’ll want to address everything in one round rather than multiple back-and-forths.

Troubleshooting

  • Upload not completing? Try a different browser. Chrome and Firefox are reliable; some Safari versions have had upload hiccups historically.
  • File too large? Cohley doesn’t enforce a hard cap, but very large files can time out. Try compressing video to a more reasonable bitrate before retry.
  • Wrong button used by mistake? Upload it in the correct spot and let the brand know via chat so they can reject the asset tagged incorrectly.
